Bangladesh national team selector Habibul Bashar, who was diagnosed with Covid-19 recently, has been admitted to a hospital in the capital.
Habibul Bashar himself confirmed the news on Thursday.
Bashar, the former Bangladesh cricket team captain, was admitted to Evercare Hospital on Monday after he was was diagnosed with lung infection.
“I am feeling well now. Doctors will release me from the hospital if everything found positive till then,” Bashar said.
The renowned cricketer tested positive for the virus on November 11.
Bashar, 48, was the third high profile name in Bangladesh’s cricketing fraternity to contact the virus.
Earlier, all rounder Mahmudullah Riyad missed out on playing in the PSL playoffs after testing Covid-19 positive. After Mahmudullah, Test skipper Mominul Haque also tested positive for the virus.
