Bangladesh to loss 6th position in ODI rankings if Pakistan win Champions Trophy

Mustafizur Rahman has charmed the world in limited overs cricket. However, when he takes the field today at Galle and returns to Test cricket after more than one-and-a-half years, he will face a stiffer challenge. Can he weave his magic? West Indian legend Courtney Walsh (R) will definitely hope that the left-armer can take a leaf out of his book.

Bangladesh is on the 6th position in ICC ODI rankings taking 94 rating points while Pakistan is on 7th position taking 93 rating points.

Pakistan will face India in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy final on Sunday (June 18). If they manage to win the match against the arch-rivals to seal the Champions Trophy title for the first time in their history, they will capture the number six position in the One-day International rankings.

Winning Champions Trophy will not only help them to overtake Bangladesh in the ICC ranking but also will confirm their direct place in the World Cup 2019.

Pakistan arrived in England for the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 as the lowest-ranked team in the event.

But they marched into the Champions Trophy final following three continued wins against South Africa, Sri Lanka and England.
