Schoolboy stabbed by friends dies at DMCH


A schoolboy allegedly stabbed by two of his friends over a trifling matter at Pashchim Shewrapara in the city’s Mirpur area on Tuesday night, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Wednesday morning.

The victim was Sajib, 16, class IX student of Holy Crescent School and College.

brother-in-law of Sajib, Babu quoted by sub-inspector Bachchu Miah, in-charge of DMCH police camp, said Sajib had an altercation with his two friends over a trifling matter around 10.30pm on Tuesday.

At one stage, Sajib was stabbed by his friends with a knife, leaving him critically injured.

Sajib was admitted to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injures around 8.00am on Wednesday.
