No lead in Rajshahi double murder and Tuku killing cases

Police could not yet unearth any mystery behind the killing of two University students and Awami Leage (AL) leader Ziaul Haque Tuku. It was alleged that police try to divert the matter without debunking any clues over the murders.

Police recovered bodies of Sumaiya Nasrin, 21, student of Pabana Science and Tecnology University, and Mizanur Rahman, 23, from a room of Hotel Nice International in Rajshahi City on April 22.

On the day, Nasrin`s father Abdul Karim, SI of Gaibandha Detective Branch (DB), filed a case over the incident alleging murder after rape. However, Mizanur`s family yet filed any law suit in this connection.

Police claimed that Mizanur committed suicide after killing Nasrin.

However, members of both deceased`s family rejected the allegation and claimed to investigate into the murders claiming Nasrin and Mizanur were killed in planned way.

They alleged that police try to avoid the matter as they could not unearth any mystery behind the killing.

Members of Mizanur`s family said why his hands were found tied up from behind if he committed suicide?

Meanwhile, Police could not find any clue behind the killing of Ziaul Haque Tuku, Finance Secretary of Rajshahi District Awami League and former administrator of Rajshahi Chamber of Commerce and Industries.

Even police could not find out Tuku`s friend Torikul and his driver who were present at his office during the assassination.
