High Speed Diesel supply from India begins Saturday


Bangladesh and India will formally launch commercial supply of High Speed Diesel (HSD) on Saturday with an inaugural consignment of 2,200 metric tons of fuel to Bangladesh.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her counterpart Narendra Modi will inaugurate the commercial operation.
India has decided to build a pipeline to carry HSD to Bangladesh and move a formal proposal on the project during Sheikh Hasina’s meeting Modi.
Before that, India will carry HSD from Assam to Bangladesh by rail. Sheikh Hasina and Narendra Modi will flag off a consignment.
