DHAKA, April 18, 2016 (BSS) – A business delegation of Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Indian city of Kolkata today called on Textiles and Jute Minister Md Emaz Uddin Pramanik at his secretariat office here.
During the meeting they discussed bilateral issues and progress of two neighboring countries textiles and jute industries, a press release said.
Trade Promotion and Business Development Committee Chairman Prakash Saha, Secretary (Marketing) Utpal Roy and Member Aysha Aktar were among the Indian delegates.
The business delegation said the friendship between Bangladesh and India is historical.
The existing friendly relation is being further strengthened through increasing of regular commerce between the two countries, the delegation said.
Emaz Uddin said the government has been implementing different initiatives to further boost up the textiles and jute industry.
