In line with the National Tree Plantation Programme-2020, the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) has undertaken a ‘Memorial Tree Plantation Programme-2020’ on the occasion of the Birth Centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat inaugurated the tree plantation programme by planting a sapling at Air Headquarters premises today, said an Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) press release.
The BAF observed the Tree Plantation Programme-2020 this year with the slogan of ‘Shabuz Brikkho-Nirmol Paribesh: Bangabandhur Bangladesh’. Principal Staff Officers of Air Headquarters took part in the tree plantation programme by planting different saplings.
Among others, directors and senior BAF officers of Air Headquarters were also present on the occasion.
Later, all Bases/Units of Bangladesh Air Force also simultaneously observed the ‘Memorial Tree Plantation Programme-2020’ on the occasion of the Birth Centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Under this programme, different species of saplings of fruit bearing, herbal and shade giving and timber value trees were planted.
