At least 44 people have been arrested over their alleged involvement in the attack on Hindu community in Brahmanbaria’s Nasirnagar.
Police arrested 33 people last night from different places of the upazila. Earliar, 11 accused were arrested during last six days.
Brahmanbaria Police Super Md Mizanur Rahman confirmed the matter.
According to video footage, police arrested the 33 accused from different places of the upazila, he said.
The victims Kazal Joti Dutt and Nirmal Chowdhury have filed two cases against at least 100 unidentified people.
On October 30, an unruly mob equipped with sharp weapons went berserk and demolished a number of Hindu temples and nearly 100 houses in Nasirnagar upazila following a rumour of a Facebook post demeaning the Holy Kaaba.
