The vice-president-elect of Dhaka University Central Students Union Nurul Haq Nur on Tuesday announced lifting programme of skipping classes and examination protesting at the irregularities in DUCSU polls.
Nur made the announcement at the auditorium of Teacher-Student Centre when his nearest contestant Chhatra League president Rezwanul Haque Shobhan went there to congratulate him.
Both the leaders then embraced before television cameras.
Chhatra League president Rezwanul said Nur is the vice-president of all the Dhaka University students. ‘He is not an outsider. Me and Nur contested in the polls and students have chosen Nur. We are also accepting him. We want peace on the campus,’ said Rezwanul.
Rezwanul also asked the Chhatra League activists to call off their agitation at the Vice-Chancellor House.
